Healthy Brain Initiative: A Healthy Aging Research Network Study

Project Summary: 

HRA conducted focus groups in Chinese and Vietnamese communities to explore individuals’ perceptions and motivations about diseases that cause dementia and related disorders. This is a project under the CDC Prevention Research Center’s Healthy Aging Research Network. The network consists of nine universities that work together on healthy aging research topics.

Policy, Practice or Research Impacts: 

This study is an innovative, academic initiative that extends beyond traditional biomedical determinants of cognitive health and explores potential social determinants to brain health.
