Evaluating Medicare and Medicaid Policy

Project Summary:

In the past 10 years, Health Research for Action has conducted several studies evaluating various aspects of publicly funded healthcare in the United States. Many of these studies have investigated beneficiary acceptance of new healthcare delivery mechanisms.

Some of these studies are ongoing, including a multiyear survey of seniors and people with disabilities who receive both Medicare and Medi-Cal benefits.

Evaluation of Medi-Cal Managed Care for Seniors and People with Disabilities

An earlier study evaluated California's experience transitioning seniors and persons with disabilities from Medi-Cal fee-for-service to managed care. A full description of the Cal Medi-Connect evaluation is available here.

Evaluation of Voluntary Enrollment in Medi-Cal Managed Care for Seniors and People with Disabilities
