In Winter 2014, HRA produced an engaging video animation for Consumer Reports to help consumers understand health insurance costs and terminology. Under Obamacare, healthcare choices and guidelines were expanded. The video explained complex aspects of health insurance in a simple and engaging way, for which HRA and Consumer Reports won a prestigious Hermes Creative Award in the Educational Video category (Platinum Award). Professor Linda Neuhauser received the 2013 Charles Atkin Outstanding Translational Health Communication Scholar Award at the DC Health Communication Conference.

Healthy Steps in Silicon Valley⎯a program to promote healthy aging⎯was honored with the 2012 Archstone Foundation Award for Excellence in Program Innovation. The award was presented on October 29, 2012 in San Francisco at APHA's annual conference.
